Police in Mbalachanda, Mzimba have arrested a 40 year-old Democratic Progressive Party(DPP) monitor for being found in possession of six national identity cards and five voter certificates.
Mzimba Police spokesperson Peter Botha has confirmed the incident.
Botha said Mary Banda was detained this morning at Mbalachanda Teachers Development Centre.
“Banda was found with the above mentioned items at the centre while on duty as a monitor,” said Botha.
Meanwhile Banda has been taken to Mbalachanda Police Unit for further interrogation.
Banda hails from Chizapo village, Traditional Authority Chindi in the district.
